It suddenly dawned on me that this song(/album/video) is nearing its 20th anniversary. That kind of blows my mind. Blood Sugar Sex Magik as a whole is one of my favorite albums. You listen to songs like Give It Away and Under the Bridge and they don’t have any age or weight to them. For all you know they could be a latest single and #1 on iTunes (except for the fact that we haven’t been blessed with music this good in quite some time). I chose to post this song because it has that same feeling to it. It may not be my favorite song, but its just such a natural and healthy song. Some of my favorite songs on this album are the ones that were conceived straight out of jam sessions. They weren’t locked up with executives trying to construct a smash hit. They were creating music in its purest form. This is also why I love the natural feel of the music video. That and I love me some baby Frusciante. Almost as much as I love current Frusciante.

Oh and the fact that 3/4 of these guys are in a studio somewhere doing this again 20 years later makes me really really really excited.
